Navigating Transcendence: Tarot, Astrology, and the Virgo Eclipse 2025

It’s been a few months since I posted any updates or musings on tarot or astrology.

I went to Costa Rica in late June with a great friend, and it was a dream. Isolated on a secluded mountain, I was able to focus on being healthy, sleeping well, working on fitness, and being pampered in nature. This trip was years in the making, and I could not thank the Costa Rica gods enough—or Father Time—for bringing me there.

For those who have read my previous posts, I had a relapse of chronic Lyme disease after 18 years of remission after my father died in June 2023. I’ve been conserving my energy and have immersed myself in further astrological studies, which I will share eventually in my services offered.

Daily Tarot Reflections

As I did my daily tarot pull, the Ten of Swords kept showing up day after day. I know this card well, as it has come to me before.

On a daily basis, I feel the energy of burnout creeping in on a daily basis. Swords represent the air element and the mind—thoughts that can overwhelm us, as seen in the 9 of Swords, which represents a culmination of worry and stress before burnout hits. This card reflects mental clashes and cycles of worry that can drain our energy before we even begin our day. I focused on healing on a daily basis, which is an ongoing process that continues to evolve, requiring care and patience.

Soon after, I felt drawn to the Page of the Earth minor arcana card, which connects me to my foundation and sense of stability. When I pulled this card, it was also reflected in the Ace of Cups, representing emotional renewal and inspiration.

The Hermit speaks of turning inward, retreating for reflection, while also finding ways to guide and share wisdom with others. The Page of Earth signals the beginning of healthy lifestyle changes and continued personal growth, particularly in my studies. Pages often indicate the start of practical steps toward tangible goals, such as improved health, new skills, or a new career path.

The Ace of Water symbolizes love, emotional renewal, and self-care. In this context, it reminds me to honor my own boundaries, practice self-respect, and nurture myself.

Today, I return to surface awareness after a period of introspection. Recently, I have been navigating transits in the 12th house, which relate to withdrawal, subconscious patterns, and spiritual practices. These influences often encourage reflection, inner work, and the processing of hidden energies.

Now, planetary energies are moving out of this hidden realm and into the 1st house of self, body, public persona, and identity. I am entering a phase focused on service, practical affairs, and outward expression, shifting from the Piscean themes of introspection, sacrifice, and creative imagination to tangible action in the material world.

Auspicious New Beginnings - Oracle Message for New Moon at 0 degrees of Virgo

On August 23rd, 2025, we experienced a powerful New Moon at 0 degrees Virgo, at 3:15 am EST. This new moon marked an auspicious moment for new beginnings, practical planning, and setting intentions that align with both personal growth and service.

Transcendence

At the 0'23 minute degree in challenge (square) aspect to wildcard Uranus in Gemini, the focal point was the New Moon, forming a yod with two inconjunct aspects to both Pluto and Neptune, which sextile each other harmoniously. This configuration introduces an element of surprise and unexpected shifts. It suggests a planetary tension where energies are working in common, yet without direct control, requiring us to navigate between extremes. This can manifest as either hyperactivity or restlessness, potentially disrupting routines if not approached mindfully.

This New Moon offers a great opportunity to reassess and adjust daily routines with flexibility. It’s a time to practice adaptability in everyday affairs and to cultivate patience with the unfolding energies.

This month, we will experience a total Lunar Eclipse at 15 degrees on September 7, 2025, followed by next month’s New Moon Solar Eclipse at September 21, 2025, at 29 degrees of Virgo. These lunar events invite reflection, growth, and strategic planning for the coming cycle. More on this later.
