YOU
CAN HEAL December 9, 2009 Several years ago I was diagnosed
with Chronic Tick Bourne Disease after months of misdiagnosis from several
physicians. I was told very negative statements such as, "Oh
no, you were diagnosed too late." or "There
is no cure. You will be sick for the rest of your
life." I was told by many individuals and
doctors that "Long term antibiotics don't work. Forget
about it." I am
gratefully healthy today and live a fulfilling life. I have
learned a few lessons along the way to share with others who may be extremely
discouraged and doubting their ability to heal.
I did take long term
antibiotics and I never gave up expecting the best possible outcome. I
explored deep, soul healing and became a certified Soul Coach in the
process. I am always grateful to help others on their healing
journey.
THOUGHT PROVOKING QUESTION OF THE
MONTH December 3, 2009 "GIVEN YOUR CURRENT
CIRCUMSTANCES, WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN FIVE, TEN
AND TWENTY YEARS? ARE YOU HAPPY ABOUT THIS?" GRATITUDE November 25, 2009
Happy Thanksgiving During this Thanksgiving I
remember all that I am grateful for... I am grateful for family, my
health, my home, inner peace, a purposeful life, passion, soulful
work, a spiritual family, making a difference, amazing
friends, amazing clients, amazing teachers, life lessons and the ability to
live my life as a truly authentic and unique individual. My life is blessed. MESSAGES FROM ORACLES November 20, 2009
I love my oracle
cards. They are like a trusted friend whom I can turn to for wise,
sage advice about any heartfelt questions or concerns. I often pull the
same exact oracle card again and again for months on end. It
is absolutely uncanny how the soul speaks to us through imagery and
symbolism. It never ceases to amaze me, even after years of oracle
readings for both myself and clients. One of my very favorite
oracle decks is Denise Linn's Soul Coaching Oracle Cards. I have
pulled the same card called WISDOM almost every single day for
months! The universe is not letting me off the hook with this
message. When we choose the same oracle card again and again, we
have the opportunity to slow down, tune in and reflect on the relevance of
this oracular message in our daily lives. WISDOM "The cup of wisdom is
being presented to you. Listen to the coincidences, signs and synchronicities
around you; watch for messages from your angels and guides.
Enlightenment is growing within you in mysterious ways beyond your
awareness. Sit on the earth and allow her wisdom to fill
you." "Your soul wants you to
know...Your wisdom has not only come from your joyous, carefree times; it's
also bloomed from your failures, deflated dreams, and seemingly wrong turns
in life. Cherish every experience, for all of it has deepened your wisdom,
compassion and understanding. Also, know that there is an innate wisdom
within you...always. It's simply a matter of being still and turning
within in order to access it. Sometimes you may be so focused on the
future or what's outside of you that you forget that wisdom is available to
you know." Affirmation: "All I truly need is
within me!" WHAT'S THE WORST CASE SCENARIO? November 17, 2009 My friend Diane is a very
strong and brave woman, however, she becomes very agitated and stressed when
she needs dental work. I sent her this funny video with Tim Conway as
a dentist. What's the worst case scenario?...A
dental appointment with a real life Tim Conway as
dentist! Click here (add

Sketch - The Carol Burnett Show On another note, when we are
fearful and imagining all kinds of frightening scenarios in our minds (no
matter what the situation), it often helps to imagine the worst case scenario
and be reminded that the worst possible outcome is highly
unlikely. I also recommend a good laugh to diffuse the tension! NEW MOON IN SCORPIO ON NOVEMBER 16 November 14, 2009 The New Moon on Monday,
November 16, 2009 occurs at 24 degrees of transformational Scorpio.
This is an auspicious New Moon to clear clutter on all
levels: physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. Scorpio rules
over the process of purging and elimination which allows for healthy change
and new growth. Scorpio key words:
powerful, deep, intense, passionate, resourceful, mysterious, charismatic,
hidden and profound. Scorpio seeks to plumb the
depths and reach the heights. The default of this powerful energy is
control issues, jealousy, power struggles, grudges and mistrust. Scorpio archetypes:
The phoenix rising from the ashes, Shaman, The Underworld and the Goddess
Kali Where does this New Moon at
24 degrees of Scorpio fall in your natal birth chart? There are 12
houses in the birth chart, and the New Moon will fall into one of these
specific houses, each representing a different arena of
your life experience. This is your power spot this month.
New Moons are auspicious times to plant seeds and initiate new
beginnings. This New Moon falls
precisely on my natal Venus in Scorpio (love and values) in my
fourth house of home and family (immediate family and extended
relatives). This suggests new beginnings and intense developments
in this area of my life experience. The New Moon's alignment with my
Venus amplifies all things Venusian such as love,
beauty, harmony, pleasure and family relationships. It you are hoping to make
some lasting changes in your life, this is a powerful New Moon to take the
first steps to make this change happen. LAUGHTER IS GOOD MEDICINE November 10, 2009 When was the last time you
had a really good laugh? I love to laugh and strive to laugh
often. If you haven't had a good laugh in a long time, please click on the following link. I warn you, it might be contagious! CLUTTER CLEARING CREATES NEW SPACE FOR CLARITY AND GROWTH NOVEMBER 6, 2009
Did you know that our
external world is a reflection of our internal world? If you really
want to create space for new opportunities to thrive, consider clearing out
clutter in your home environment. Physical objects are
solidified energy, and an accumulation of disorganized and messy objects
can literally impact our energy, health and motivation. The on-line web dictionary
defines clutter as "A confused or disordered state or collection; a
jumble." Clutter consists of things we save and never
use, neglected items, unloved items, disorganized items and anything that is
basically broken or unfinished. Clutter is piles of
unread newspapers, unpaid bills, stuffed to the brim
closets, outdated collections, a messy office, a disorganized
mess, broken appliances, leaky faucets and overgrown gardens. Clutter can make us feel
unmotivated, stuck and very tired! Clutter is stuck energy
and when are feeling stuck, the first step is to assess our
home or office environment. If there is clutter, you can bet it's
dragging our energy down! Take one small step and begin to clear a
drawer or one small space in a room. If we continue this process over
time, we will definitely notice new opportunities and clarity
expanding our lives. Karen Kingston, author of
Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui,
explains how clutter impacts our lives... "Having Clutter
can...make you feel tired and lethargic.
can keep you in the past.
can confuse you.
can affect the way people treat you. can make you procrastinate. can make you feel ashamed. can put your life on hold. can depress you. can create excess baggage. can be a health or fire hazard. can cost you financially. can distract you from important things." Why do many of us keep
clutter? According to author Karen
Kingston, Just in case identity status security territorialism inherited clutteritis a belief that more is better using clutter to suppress
emotions obsessive-compulsive

ACCEPTANCE IS THE ANSWER October 24, 2009
How many of us can enjoy a day
or several days alone with just our thoughts? How many of us can
truly enjoy a full day with no distractions such as soul numbing
television, incessant talking or daily addictions which take us away
from our true selves? Personally speaking, I cherish
my alone time. The television is never on in my home during the day
when I am home. I relish and embrace the quiet. I am comfortable
with myself and my thoughts. I may enjoy meditation or
yoga, relaxing music, a walk with my dog or reading a great
book. Or, I may just sit and look at nature. Though I endure the
struggles, challenges and losses that any human being experiences living on
earth, I have learned to become a sacred witness to my life
experiences. I have learned to filter my life experiences through
the lens of my higher self, which knows all is evolving according to
divine plan. I have learned not to give my power away to something
outside myself to make things all better. I know innately that my
deepest support and solutions to old and current problems exists within the
inner core my being. How many individuals do you
know who habitually and relentlessly critically obsess about their bodies,
their chronological age, miserable jobs ,
unfulfilling relationships or other's misery and problems? The truth is, these exterior distractions cannot hold a candle to our
precious, internal source of power. It is a waste of precious energy
and time to fixate on these soul numbing and energy draining
distractions! The next time you find yourself
among the latest gossip or obsessing over how many gray hairs or additional
pounds have cropped up this year, remember these words...No outer hook,
so to speak, can fulfill the ego's bottomless pit of desire. The only
way forward to a peaceful and truly fulfilling life is to completely and
unconditionally love and accept all parts of ourselves. Choose to
embrace your magnificent self which is authentic, eternal and a spark of the
divine. Life becomes full of hope and possibilities when you detach
from the daily dramas of life and open to the divine essence within. MY FALL READING LIST October 2, 2009
I love to read! I love to curl up on the sofa and get lost
in a book. My idea of a good time is going to a metaphysical bookstore
and browsing through all the books I have yet to read. I am never
without a book, in fact, I have at least six or seven books on my night stand
at any given time. I enjoy reading books about alternative healing,
astrology, health or any topic which expands my horizons and inspires me to
share my new found knowledge with others. As a
Professional Soul Coach and Astrologer, I believe it's very important
to recommend a reading list to clients for their own personal
growth and exploration. Here is my current reading list for the fall:
What's on your reading list these days? I recommend
reading at least one new book a month (self improvement or self help
subjects) to maximize your potential. A great reading resource in
addition to amazon.com is Hay House at www.Hayhouse.com. WINTER October 2, 2009 Are you experiencing
challenging times? Are you being severely tested? Are you in
the metaphorical cycle of winter? Embrace your
life tests in the classroom of planet earth, and remember that winter
eventually turns into spring. Have faith and trust the cycles life as they unfold throughout your life.
There is a reason for every season. Believe that the best is yet to
come! The following poem is an
excerpt from We' Moon '2009, written by Margot Henderson. I share it
with you today... At This Time At this time we stand upon the earth as winter
trees. We are called on to release. To strip our branches and to shed our leaves. Till we are naked bare unto the bone naked yet rooted in the soil of the soul So we know we do not stand alone Seeing our leaves suffused with light their form can no longer
hold. red, umber, ochre, copper, gold Till we are left reaching our bare branches to the sky surrendering. only then can the emerging buds be seen only then can we bring light to our unfolding dream. September
21, 2009 THE SIMPLE JOYS IN LIFE September
15, 2009 The most favorite and
cherished part of my day is the early morning hours before my family is
awake, or they are off at school and work. I make a fresh pot of really
strong coffee and open the sliding glass doors to my living room.
I put on a favorite CD (Dream Chants East and West is one of my favorites)
and linger over my coffee as I listen to the birds chirping, the squirrels
scurrying across my deck and the breeze rustling through the many trees
surrounding my home. I gaze at my beautiful garden and feel gratitude
for being so blessed. Nature is my healer and solace in times
of challenge and stress. Simply observing nature brings me peace and
simple joy. What brings you simple joy in these
harried times? For some, it's a walking their dog, playing with their
child, puttering in their garden or playing a musical instrument. For
others, it's a ten minute yoga practice or riding their bicycle after work. What simply joy can you commit to
experiencing every single day for at least 10 minutes of your precious
time? It is time spent wisely in support of your physical,
mental, emotional and spiritual well being. GOODBYE TO MY SISTER - I WILL SEE
YOU AGAIN September
8, 2009
My sister Lisa passed away last night
after suffering through late stage, advanced cancer throughout most of her
body. She was 43 years old. I sat by her bedside and
watched her struggle to breathe and to speak. She wanted to live.
She had a fighting spirit. It wasn't until her first night in hospice
that she was able to let go and transition into the spirit realm. Though I feel intense sadness and grief,
I know without a doubt that she is in the arms of angels and all is
well. I feel peace knowing she is not suffering anymore. We will meet again one day Lisa. I
know this to be true in my heart and soul. SUCCESS OR LIMITATION
- WHAT ARE YOUR CORE BELIEFS? September 3, 2009 Did you know that our
identities are a combination of multi-faceted perceptions, judgments and
beliefs which filter our life experience? Our beliefs are formed from
parental and family conditioning, educational institutions, religious
institutions, television, peers, political conditioning, cultural norms and
societal expectations. Many individuals are not aware of self critical
and undermining beliefs which drain vital life energy for happiness and
success. Our lives mirror our
beliefs. Our subconscious mind believes absolutely everything we tell
it! If we tell it, "Life is hard. I work and work and have
nothing to show for it", we will have nothing to show for it. Our
subconscious mind has no choice but to agree with what we tell it!
If we tell ourselves, "I will never meet the right partner
because I am too old", we will most certainly not resonate
with attracting a life affirming, dynamic partnership! Patterns of beliefs actually
form neural pathways in the part of our brain which is predominant for habit
formation and addictions. We have the ability to change our internal
programming (habitual thought patterns) to support health, loving
relationships and abundance. The affirmation for Day 1 of
the 28 day Soul Coaching program states: "My evaluation of myself
is not who I am." Affirmations work because they help to
form positive neural pathways in the brain. YOU CAN MAKE A DECISION
TO CHANGE YOUR BELIEFS. CHANGE YOUR BELIEFS AND
CHANGE YOUR LIFE TEENAGE REBELLION - ASTROLOGY CAN HELP! August 28, 2009 Astrologically speaking,
teens experiencing outer planetary transits to personal planets in their birth
charts are guaranteed to struggle in their quest for individuation and
discovery of their own personal truth. These longer cycles may last one
to two years in duration. I offer the following brief examples: URANUS TRANSITS- Facilitate an intense process of individuality,
rebellion, inventiveness, originality, freedom and uniqueness. They
also suggest sudden and abrupt changes, geographical relocation or sudden
breaks from the past. Expect the unexpected with Uranus, the archetypal
lightning bolt of change! Teens may align with a radically different
group of friends or change their appearance in efforts to make a bold,
individuated statement. Often, progressive or technological
hobbies and /or studies are diligently pursued. NEPTUNE TRANSITS- Facilitate a subtle process of disillusionment,
escapism and loss of ego. PLUTO TRANSITS- Facilitate a psychological death and rebirth
process, often through intense power struggles or intense emotional outbursts
which can be quite challenging. Pluto is the archetypal descent into
the "underworld". Teens may challenge authority, both at home
and at school, as they learn to handle and manage their own power urges for
independence. Ultimately, Pluto cycles help teens to purge and release
destructive beliefs, habit patterns or behaviors, and tap into their own
constructive personal power. Years later, in retrospect, teens may find
that the long Pluto cycle helped them to become empowered with a strong sense
of personal mission or purpose in life. At this time, and gaining
strength over the next few years, are the outer planets entering the
cardinal, action oriented signs of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries and Libra.
Teens with personal planets at early degrees of these cardinal signs will
need you to guide them with inner strength, patience and unconditional love
in their quest to emerge as independent adults. WORDS,
WATER, LOVE AND GRATITUDE August 24, 2009 I recently revisited the New
York Times bestseller book called The Hidden Messages in Water by
internationally renowned Japanese scientist, Masaru Emoto.
I read this book a few years ago, however, a second
read offered me a fresh perspective and heightened awareness of how our
thoughts and words can positively impact our personal health, as well as the
planet itself. I am frequently reminding my
now 16 year old son, much to his annoyance, how words are energy and they
impact not only his immediate environment, but the very fabric of our
universe. The thoughts we think and the words we speak have vibrational frequencies. Masaru Emoto
discovered that molecules of water are profoundly impacted by our thoughts,
words and feelings. This was an amazing discovery, considering that our
human bodies are comprised of at least 70 percent water! Mr. Emoto
conducted experiments on many types of water from around the globe and
discovered that water is capable of forming wondrous, beautiful crystal
formations when exposed to words such as THANK YOU, LOVE AND
GRATITUDE. He also discovered that water forms
beautiful, well formed crystals when exposed to classical music, yet in
contrast, forms fragmented and malformed crystals when exposed to
violent, heavy metal music. This discovery essentially proves that as
individuals, we have the power to positively transform our inner selves as
well as the outer world. Conversely, we also have the power to harm and
destroy our inner and outer universe with harsh and violent language. Masaru Emoto
discusses how the energetic vibration of the word GRATITUDE is even more
powerful than the word LOVE. What does this mean? Mr. Emoto explains: "What the world needs
now is gratitude. We must begin by learning what it means to
have enough. We need to feel gratitude for having been born on a
planet so rich in nature, and gratitude for water that makes our life
possible. Do we really know wonderful it is to be able to breathe
a big breath of clean air?" In the 28 day Soul Coaching
program, water week is devoted to activating the spirit of water that
dwells within and around us. Our memories, feelings, emotions and
images from the past, experience an emotional cleansing, opening new space
for trust, intuition and nurturing to flourish. Water is a mirror of
the world around us and our internal water, metaphorically speaking, is a
mirror of our thoughts and words. Peace begins with YOU. Please check out the
following You Tube link on Masaru Emoto's
photographed crystals, and know that a glass of drinking water
will never be perceived quite the same again. "We all have an
important mission: To make water clean again, and to
create a world that is easy and healthy to live in. In order for us to
accomplish our mission, we must first make sure that our hearts are clear and
unpolluted." Masaru Emoto See the amazing crystals.
We
Were Made For These Times I urge you, ask you, gentle you, to please not spend your spirit
dry by bewailing these difficult times. Especially do not lose hope. Most particularly because,
the fact is that we were made for these times. Yes. For Years, we have
been learning, practicing, been in training for and just waiting to meet on
this exact plain of engagement. I grew up on the Look out over the prow; there are millions of boats of righteous
souls on the waters with you. Even though your veneers may shiver from
every wave in this stormy roil, I assure you that the long timbers composing
your prow and rudder come from a greater forest. That long-grained
lumber is known to withstand storms, to hold together, to hold its own, and
to advance, regardless. In any dark time, there is a tendency to veer toward fainting
over how much is wrong or unmended in the
world. Do not focus on that. There is a tendency too to fall into being weakened by dwelling
on what is outside your reach, by what cannot yet be. Do not focus
there. That is spending the wind without raising the sails. We
are needed, that is all we can know. And though we meet resistance, we
more so will meet great souls who will hail us, love us and guide us, and we
will know them when they appear. Didn't you say you were a believer? Didn't you say you
pledged to listen to a voice greater? Didn't you ask for grace?
Don't you remember that to be in grace means to submit to the voice greater? Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but
of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our
reach. Any small, calm thing that one soul can do to help another soul,
to assist some portion of this poor
suffering world, will help immensely. It is not given to us to know which
acts or by whom, will cause the critical mass to tip toward an enduring
good. What is needed for dramatic change is an accumulation of acts,
adding, adding to, adding more, continuing. We know that it does not take "everyone on earth" to
bring justice and peace, but only a small, determined group who will not
give up during the first, second, or hundredth gale. One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to
intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Soul on
deck shines like gold in dark times. The light of the soul throws sparks, can send up flares, builds signal fires, causes
proper matters to catch fire. To display the lantern of soul in shadowy times like these - to
be fierce and to show mercy toward others, both are acts of immense bravery
and greatest necessity. Struggling souls catch light from other souls
who are fully lit and willing to show. If you would help to calm the tumult, this is one of the
strongest things you can do. There will always be times when you feel
discouraged. I too have felt despair many times in my life, but I do not keep
a chair for it. I will not entertain it. It is not allowed to eat from my plate. The reason is this: In my uttermost bones I know
something, as do you. It is that there can be no despair when you remember why
you came to Earth, who you serve, and who sent you here. Hello and Welcome to my Blog! August 20, 2009 I am beginning my blog on a
New Moon on August 20, 2009, with a beautiful poem by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. My teacher and mentor, Denise Linn,
founder of the International Training Institute of Soul Coaching, provided
this poem in my Soul Coaching training manual. Denise Linn finds this
poem especially relevant to the work we do as Soul Coaches. I must say I
agree. Several of my friends have asked me recently, "Carol, what
exactly is the purpose of Soul Coaching and how is it different from
Life Coaching?" Soul Coaching takes us much deeper than
traditional Life Coaching. Soul Coaching helps us align
with our higher selves and fulfill our most divine destiny on all levels:
physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. |
