ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING, We begin the
month of November (NOVEMBER 2) with
a FULL MOON AT 10 DEGREES OF TAURUS AT
2:15 PM (EST). Taurus is grounded, earth energy. It rules
over all things natural, stable, routine, aesthetic, pleasurable,
tasteful and beautiful. Taurus energy evokes images of mother earth,
beautiful landscapes and the leisure time to savor the beauty in
nature. Taurus is also symbolic of habit patterns and stubborn
resistance to change. If there is anything needing release in your life
this month, a Full Moon in Taurus is a wonderful opportunity to let go
of old habits or unhealthy patterns which keep you stuck in the past instead
of grounded in the present. During this Full Moon, reflect on all you
have to be grateful for and find time to get out in nature. With Mercury
in Scorpio square Mars in Leo during this Full Moon and first week of
November, tempers may flare as communications may be edgy, sarcastic,
secretive or combative. Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius are all
fixed signs suggesting fixed opinions and attitudes which are resistant to
change. Neptune and
Chiron station direct in Aquarius early this month (Chiron on October 31
and Neptune on November 4), suggesting a readiness to externalize spiritual
and intuitive lessons, teachings or aspirations gleaned from the 5 month
retrograde period. Many of us have experienced a subtle or dramatic
loss of ego, loss of faith, bewilderment or yearning to escape painful
circumstances during this retrograde time period. The evolutionary
intent is to surrender control and develop faith in the intangibles of
life, such as divine wisdom, divine timing and divine guidance in uncertain
times. Many Aquarius individuals are feeling this process directly and
acutely with Neptune-Chiron transiting over their Sun (life purpose and
vitality) in their natal birth chart. Also, Leo, Scorpio and Taurus
individuals are having no picnic as they are feeling this dissolving of
certainty and boundaries. In some cases, many are feeling
hopelessness. This is a temporary cycle, though it may seem to
last forever as we endure one thing after another. The major
aspect this month and into next year is SATURN IN LIBRA SQUARE PLUTO IN CAPRICORN on NOVEMBER 15
(exact November 15, 2009, March 22, 2010 and August 4, 2010). This
Saturn-Pluto cycle originated in 1982 when Saturn and Pluto came together at
28 degrees of Libra, called a conjunction. A waxing square followed in
1993-94 in Aquarius-Scorpio, An opposition (peak of
cycle) occurred in 2001-03 in Gemini-Sagittarius, and now the
waning square in 2009-2010. We all witnessed Saturn-Pluto at its worst
on September 11, 2001, when Saturn opposed Pluto (a dynamic aspect of
conflict and opposition, often active during war periods). This cycle is
about major trials and tribulations which test our strength and our inner
resolve. Many of us will be challenged with tests of hardships which
force us to wake up and transform (Pluto) resistance to change
(Saturn). This cycle demands persistence, discipline and hard, hard
work. What was
happening during the previous Saturn-Pluto alignments in your life?
Were there any power struggles, restrictions, crises or major attitudinal
shifts that stand out in your mind? With Saturn transiting through
Libra, relationships of all kinds will be tested, including the relationship
we have with ourselves. We are being called to adapt once again to a
changing environment. Positively, Saturn-Pluto affords us great inner
strength and stoicism to get the job done- whatever that job may be. A NEW MOON FOLLOWS THE Cosmic
